Affiliate Disclosure

CarKitCost is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

What this means in practice

When you click a "View on Amazon" link on the car setup planner or a guide page, you're taken to an Amazon product search. If you make a qualifying purchase after clicking through, CarKitCost may earn a small commission. This comes at no additional cost to you: the price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link. CarKitCost does not display Amazon prices, so check the listing on Amazon for the current price.

How this affects recommendations

Items are chosen because they solve a specific, recurring problem for a specific trip type, described in the "why it fits" note next to each recommendation, not because they pay a higher commission or are the most popular search result. CarKitCost does not accept payment from brands to feature specific products.

Why links go to a search, not a single product

A single listing can go out of stock, change price or get discontinued, so links currently point to a focused Amazon search for each gear category. You can compare current listings yourself. This is disclosed here so it's clear you're seeing live Amazon search results, not a single hand-picked product page.
